The Post reported that the stadium wall that led to the tragic death of former Arsenal youth striker Billy Vega has been demolished by Chichester Club.
It is understood that the club had taken proactive action before the FA launched a safety review and postponed all home games until mid-November to complete the transformation. Following the tragedy, a petition calling for a ban on brick walls around the stadium quickly gained more than 4,000 signatures.
Former Arsenal youth player Billy Vega was injured when his head hit the concrete wall on the sidelines while trying to save a ball during a game. Treatment failed and he died. He was only 21 years old.
