Data shows that 16% of Chelsea fans wear exquisite suits during important nights, a tradition that can be traced back to the fashion trend of team players in the 1970s.
The results of the survey revealed a clear difference in dress between the north and the south, with the top seven on the list being won by teams from London and the South. Manchester City, Leeds United, Brentford and West Ham United tied for eighth with 5% of the figures.
In contrast, Newcastle, Burnley and Wolves fans rank at the bottom, with only 1% choosing to travel in formal wear.
