Q: Saturday will be an away game against Brentford. Will you send a text message to your good friend and former captain Henderson in advance?

Robertson: I don’t think he would text me back even if I tried, so I’ll leave it until after the game! He is an absolute legend for our club, what he did in our dressing room, the trophies he lifted, the trophies he coached and led us to win.

He is an absolute legend to those of us who were lucky enough to play with him, but also to the fans and everyone associated with the club. It'll be nice to see him, but I know he'll be ready for a fight like always. Our midfield will have a tough battle with him, as will all our players, because Brentford are a difficult team to play against. Hopefully if we win, I can catch up with him after the game!

Q: The team just ended its losing streak. What do you think of the previous difficulties and how did the team come out of it?

Robertson: When you're on a losing streak, it's important to end it as quickly as possible. After losing to Manchester United, the message from the team's bosses was, "Don't panic." We need to improve our performance level, that's a fact and that's what we're trying to focus on, improving our performance level with and without the ball. We knew that if we did that, the results should be in our favour. Thank God we did it.

Q: How much did the 5-1 victory over Frankfurt help the team’s morale?

Robertson: When we got 3-1 up, you could see the lads starting to enjoy the game, and that's what you want, people playing with smiles on their faces, people enjoying playing for this club, people scoring goals, people assisting. Winning 5-1 in the Champions League is quite rare.

Q: Wirtz, another player who is also under pressure, also had his best performance of the season in Germany. How do you evaluate him?

Robertson: I thought he performed well, very well. I thought he was getting better, especially in the second half. He had a lot of help from the players around him and Curtis Jones was outstanding. I think the three midfielders helped us gain momentum and keep possession of the ball. Wirtz has been doing well since arriving here. People only focus on the number of goals and assists, but this is sometimes unfair because he created so many opportunities, and today some of the opportunities he created ended up being converted into assists. Hopefully he gets a lot out of this performance but Saturday will be a big test for us.
